The Center to Support Excellence in Teaching engages in interdisciplinary research, design, and development aimed at improving the quality of K-12 teaching. Research projects are designed and implemented by teams of faculty in partnership with K-12 practitioners. Through these research activities CSET teams:
- Identify content-specific core teaching practices that are associated with improved learning outcomes for students.
- Develop and test effective models of professional development to best support teachers and instructional leaders in developing their craft.
- Develop and test high-quality tools, including online resources, to build instructional capacity and support the development of excellent teaching.
