Leading for Learning Conference

Conferences

The Center to Support Excellence in Teaching (CSET) invites instructional leaders to engage in considering research-based approaches for promoting student learning and engagement. The evidenced based approaches are applicable to both traditional PK-14 educational settings as well as after school enrichment settings.

Through interactive presentations, research talks, and workshops the conference will focus on:

  • Knowledge of Students and How People Learn
  • Assessment and Curriculum Coherence
  • Pedagogical and Subject-Matter Knowledge
  • Transformative Professional Learning and Pedagogical Content Knowledge

The conference will feature presentations by Janet Carlson, Faculty Director of CSET, and Dan Scharwtz, the I. James Quillen Dean of the Stanford Graduate School of Education.

Participants will have an opportunity to synthesize and apply the week’s learning in dialog with colleagues and CSET staff. Lunch will be provided each day.
