Mary Hauser

Mary Hauser is currently an education consultant at Public Impact, where she works to extend the reach of excellent teachers in school districts across the US. Before coming to Public Impact, Mary completed her doctoral degree in Curriculum and Teacher Education at the Stanford University Graduate School of Education. While at Stanford, Mary worked as both a researcher and an instructional coach at the Center to Support Excellence in Teaching where she made significant contributions to the Protocol for Language Arts Teaching Observations (PLATO) project. She also taught pre-service teachers in the Stanford Teacher Education Program. Before starting her doctoral work, Mary taught middle school English and Social Studies in schools in New York City and Charlotte, North Carolina. She holds a BA in English and Romance Languages from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, a MST from Pace University, and a MA in Educational Leadership from Bank Street College of Education.
