Sandra Velásquez

Sandra Velásquez is the Innovative Learning & Technology Integration Coordinator for the STEAM Center at the San Mateo County Office of Education. She supports SMCOE’s Making Spaces Regional Hub and the development of sustainable active learning spaces. In addition she collaborates with CSET as a co-teacher of Computational Thinking courses for pre-service and in-service teachers. Prior to her work in the county office, Sandra worked in the San José Unified School District for 14 years as an elementary educator and district instructional coach in technology, early literacy and English language development; centering her work around equitable instructional practices that promote student agency and innovation.
