The Hollyhock Fellows consist of six cohorts of exceptional teachers beginning with our inaugural class of 2014 and continuing through the 2019 cohort. Spanning 33 states and 181 public and charter schools, the 534 fellows have an average of 3.8 years of classroom experience when they enter the fellowship and teach in high schools where 81% of students qualify for free and reduced lunch. With a record of exemplary teaching and desire for continual professional growth, they are dedicated to refining their practice in order to better serve their students. Since 2014, the teachers in this program have collectively impacted over 157,000 students in their classrooms. Of the current fellows, 91% plan to teach at least 3-4 more years while 46% plan to teach 9+ years.
