Jim Malamut

Doctoral Student

Jim Malamut is a doctoral student studying Race, Inequality, and Language in Mathematics Education. Prior to this he taught middle school students math for 7 years in Philadelphia and Oakland and has worked for multiple organizations designing professional learning for teachers, school leaders, and curriculum developers. His interests include critical pedagogy, sociomathematics, and the interdependence of math and language.
